Georgia football offense achieves top ranking in EA Sports College Football 25

Georgia football coach Kirby Smart recently spoke at the SEC spring meetings in Miramar Beach, Fla. about his team’s ranking in the newest edition of EA Sports College Football 25. The Bulldogs have been highly ranked with the highest-rated offense in the game, but their defense is only two points behind Ohio State and ranked second with a 94 overall rating.

In terms of offensive rankings, Georgia and Oregon are tied at the top with a 94 overall rating. Following them are Alabama, Texas, and Ohio State in the Top 5. On the defensive side, Georgia ranks ahead of teams like Oregon, Alabama, and Clemson with a 94 overall ranking.

Last season, Georgia had one of the highest scoring offenses in the country with an average of 40.1 points per game and allowed just 15.6 points per game on defense, also ranking fifth on both sides of the ball. This year’s offense will be led by Carson Beck at quarterback, while Trevor Etienne from Florida joins as a running back during the offseason. Key players on defense include safety Malaki Starks and edge rusher Mykel Williams.

EA Sports College Football 25 is set to release its first college football video game in over a decade on July 19th. The game will feature player names and numbers thanks to NIL regulations and will reveal team rankings later this week.
