7’9″ Olivier Rioux Breaks World Record as Tallest Teenager; Commits to Florida CBB | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors

At just 16 years old, Olivier Rioux, a Guinness World Record holder for being the tallest teenager, is set to play Division I basketball for Florida. Standing at an impressive height of 7’5″, Rioux has always been remarkable in stature, starting at 6’1″ at the age of eight and growing to pass seven feet before the seventh grade.

Coming from a tall family, with his father standing at 6’8″, his mother at 6’2″, and his older brother at 6’9″, it is no surprise that Rioux has continued to grow. Initially standing at 7’7″, recent updates suggest that he may have grown even taller.

Rioux excels on the court as a center who takes up immense space on the floor. He is skilled at clogging the paint, defending, and rebounding. In fact, Travis Branham, a basketball analyst for 247Sports, previously scouted Rioux when he was just 7’6″.

The Gators had a successful season with 24 wins and a run to the SEC tournament final. Now, with Rioux joining their roster, they are sure to continue their dominance on the court. The towering center will look to make an impact for the Gators with his size and skills.
