Global Marketing Giant LLYC Acquires Leading Colombian Communications Firm Dattis for 40 Million Euros

LLYC’s expansion in Latin America strengthens with acquisition of Dattis

LUCK, a global Marketing and Corporate Affairs firm, has agreed to acquire Dattis Communications, a leading consulting firm in Colombia for professional services related to communication, public affairs, and PR marketing. This acquisition aligns with LLYC’s Strategic Plan and commitment to investing up to 40 million euros in high potential markets.

LLYC has acquired a 78.69% stake in Dattis at a valuation of six times Ebitda, with the remaining 21.31% held by Andres Ortiz, Senior Partner. Ortiz will continue in his position until 2024, after which he will lead the unified structure under the LLYC brand with Camila Gomez and Alejandra Aljure, the current general director of LLYC Colombia. The Founding Partner of Dattis, Dario Vargas, has sold his entire stake along with other minority partners.

With the acquisition of Dattis, LLYC expects a turnover exceeding 12 million euros in Colombia and a portfolio of over 140 national and international clients. This union gives LLYC a strategic presence in Bogota and Medellín and a team of more than 175 professionals with experience in various marketing and corporate affairs disciplines.

LLYC’s Partner and CEO for Latin America, Juan Carlos Gozzer, views Colombia as a key market in Latin America and believes that acquiring Dattis will enhance the company’s capacity, business vision, and offerings. Dattis will operate under the brand Dattis by LLYC until 2024, alongside LLYC’s operations in Colombia, with integration planned for 2025.
