Thousands of Iranians gathered in the center of Tehran near the University of Tehran to pay their respects to President Ebrahim Raisi, who tragically passed away in a helicopter crash on May 19. The ceremony attracted large crowds and was led by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Representatives from various religions, including local rabbis, were present at the event, as well as leaders of terrorist organizations like Hamas and Islamic Jihad. In addition, high-ranking representatives of Hezbollah also participated in the mourning ceremony.
The tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of President Raisi and other dignitaries occurred on May 19, 2024. The investigation into the crash continues, as it is known that the President and those accompanying him were flying in an American-made Bell-212 helicopter that was not being serviced by Americans due to sanctions.
