Haldan Jacobson Encourages Students to Embrace Language Learning: Penn State Altoona Honors Exceptional French, German, and Spanish Performers and Expands Language Offerings to Include Russian and American Sign Language

Penn State Altoona hosts luncheon in recognition of world language students

In a letter, Haldan Jacobson encouraged students to view language learning as an opportunity rather than a burden. On April 25, Penn State Altoona honored 27 students for their exceptional performance in French, German, and Spanish studies during a luncheon that emphasized the importance of language education.

The program’s expansion includes the addition of Russian and American Sign Language as fulfillment options for the B.A. language requirement. Kitty Mussett at [email protected] can provide more information about the program. The college’s commitment to diversity and valuable educational opportunities is reflected by this expansion of language offerings at Penn State Altoona.
