Health Inspections Lead to Closures of Local Restaurants and Food Vendors in Orange County

Health Inspectors Close Down Orange County Restaurants (June 20-27) – Orange County Register

During the week of June 20 to June 27, Orange County health inspectors ordered several restaurants and food vendors to close due to various health violations. In Garden Grove, the Mobil station on 11962 Brookhurst St. was shut down on June 26 because of a cockroach infestation but reopened the next day. Meanwhile, Bagels Tea on 16566 Bolsa Chica St. in Huntington Beach was closed for a rodent infestation but also reopened on June 27.

In Irvine, Layer Cake Bakery on 4250 Barranca Parkway was closed without a reason provided but resumed operations later that day. Cho Cu Bakery on 14520 Magnolia St. in Westminster was also closed due to a cockroach infestation. Green Tomato Grill on 1419 N. Tustin St. in Orange was closed for a cockroach infestation but was quickly reopened on the same day.

Chada Thai on 9872 Westminster Ave. in Garden Grove and Lam Van on 8888 Bolsa Ave. in Westminster were both closed for cockroach infestations, with Chada Thai reopening on June 27 while Lam Van remained closed as of July 1st according to OC Health Care Agency database updates.

Several other establishments were also affected by health violations during this timeframe: EZ Baby Market on S Magnolia Ave in Anaheim and Luc Dinh Ky Restaurant on N Bolsa Ave in Westminster were both closed for cockroach infestations, with EZ Baby Market reopening immediately and Luc Dinh Ky Restaurant remaining closed as of July 1st according to OC Health Care Agency database updates
