On Sunday and early hours of Monday, a low-pressure system with the likelihood of cyclonic development in the Gulf of Mexico will move over the coasts of Tamaulipas in the northeast of the country. The circulation of this system, interacting with the monsoon trough, will cause occasional torrential rains in Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, and Veracruz. Strong to very strong winds are also expected with the potential formation of waterspouts along the coasts of Tamaulipas and Veracruz.
In addition to this low-pressure system, a low-pressure channel extending over the north, west, and center of Mexico is expected to lead to intense occasional rains in Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán
