Helsinki Stock Exchange Thrives in the Second Half of 2024

In the second half of 2024, Helsinki’s stock exchange began with a strong performance. The general index of the exchange rose by about 1.1 percent to 10,050.26 points in the afternoon. The most actively traded share was Nordea, up by 1.6 percent with nearly 20 million shares exchanged. Technology consulting company Solteq saw the biggest gains with a 10.1 percent increase, while biotechnology company Nightingale Health experienced a 9.1 percent decline.

Telko, a subsidiary of Aspo, completed the acquisition of Swed Handling AB in Sweden and Cargotec split from Kalmar becoming its own listed company on the stock exchange’s main list with Kepler Cheuvreux updating the target price for Cargotec to EUR 32 euros . US Index Futures predicted a bullish opening for Wall Street.
