Hope College Men’s Tennis Team Earns Academic All-District Honors for 2023-24 Season

Three Men’s Tennis Players Chosen for College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Teams

The Hope College men’s tennis team has been honored with the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men’s Tennis Teams by College Sports Communicators. Seniors Justin Fay and John Voss, along with junior Austin Becksvoort, were recognized for their academic achievements. The program acknowledges honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Fay is a senior from Naperville, Illinois, who played at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions for the Flying Dutchmen. He earned All-MIAA First Team honors and received the MIAA’s Allen B. Stowe Award for Sportsmanship. Voss is also a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio who played at the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles positions for the team. He is a business major with an impressive record of 8-9 in singles and solid performance in doubles matches. Becksvoort is a junior from Holland, Michigan who played at the No. 5 singles and No. 1 doubles positions for Hope College men’s tennis team during his sophomore year. He is a chemistry and chemical engineering major with impressive records of 15-7 in singles and 15-10 in doubles matches during his sophomore year only which showcases his potential as one of the best players on the team

Becksvoort has also advanced to the Academic All-America® ballot, with honorees set to be announced later this summer. This recognition highlights how well Becksvoort has performed both academically and on the court during his time at Hope College men’s tennis team

The Division III CSC Academic All-America® program receives financial support from the NCAA Division III to assist with awards fulfillment
