Israeli Intelligence Agencies Conducted Secret Operations Against Court, Including Targeting Prosecutor Gina Bensouda

Yossi Cohen reportedly threatened former Hague prosecutor, The Guardian reveals

Over the past decade, Israeli intelligence agencies have engaged in secret operations against the court, with former Mossad head Yossi Cohen personally involved in actions that were approved at a high level. A senior Israeli official defended Cohen’s involvement by stating that the court posed a threat to the prosecution of military personnel.

Israeli sources revealed that the Mossad’s goal was to harm or recruit prosecutor Gina Bensouda to cooperate with Israeli demands. Cohen allegedly made statements to Bensouda urging her to help them and allow them to take care of her. The agency also obtained transcripts of Bensouda’s husband’s secret tapes and tried to use them to discredit her.

Multiple sources confirmed that Bensouda was briefed by senior court officials about Cohen’s attempts to influence her. Concerns were raised about the threatening and persistent nature of his behavior towards her and her family members. These revelations are part of an ongoing investigation by “The Guardian,” “+972 Magazine,” and “Kol Komomi” detailing Israeli intelligence agencies’ secret operations against the court over nearly a decade.
