Geneva Lopez, a 27-year-old Filipino fashion model, and her husband Itzhak Cohen, a 37-year-old Israeli citizen, have been missing in the Philippines for several days. Their car was found burned and abandoned last week as reported by Ynet on June 25th.
According to Cohen’s brother, Itzhak went to meet a man who owed him money. Several years ago, Cohen had lent this man money when his wife was sick, but the man never returned it. In exchange for the money, the man promised Cohen a piece of land and offered to negotiate with him about it.
There are concerns that Cohen may have been the victim of fraud and potentially kidnapped. According to Cohen’s brother, incidents like this are not uncommon in the Philippines. The family of the missing couple has started a crowdfunding campaign to raise a reward for information leading to their whereabouts.
Relatives of the missing couple are in touch with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local contacts for advice, as they do not trust the Philippine police to provide assistance.
Unfortunately, there are various links provided related to steroids, relationships, sports, and hosting services that seem out of place and unrelated to the original content about Itzhak Cohen and Geneva Lopez’s disappearance.
