The 2024 Men’s Basketball Transfer Portal Tracker, sponsored by Three Notch’d Brewing, is currently active for the offseason. With graduations and coach Mark Byington’s departure, the JMU men’s basketball team is expected to focus heavily on player additions through the transfer portal.

Jaylen Carey, a big man with high potential, has entered the transfer portal. Terrence Edwards, the 2023-24 Sun Belt Player of the Year, is considering testing the NBA waters after averaging 17.2 points per game for the Dukes. Another departure is sophomore guard Xavier Brown, who showcased his scoring abilities during the Sun Belt Championship game.
