Joe Buck and Chip Caray will be broadcasting the Cubs-Cardinals game.

Two legendary names in baseball broadcasting, Joe Buck and Chip Caray, are set to reunite in the St. Louis Cardinals television booth next Friday. Buck will join Caray to call the Cardinals’ game against the Chicago Cubs on Bally Sports Midwest.

Joe Buck, who currently works as the play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Football on ESPN, will be returning to call his first local Cardinals telecast in 17 years. He had previously broadcasted games on FOX Sports Midwest and the Cardinals Radio Network from 1991 to 2007. Jack Donovan, Bally Sports Midwest general manager and senior vice president, expressed excitement about the collaboration of two of the best broadcasters of their generation coming together to cover another chapter in the Cardinals-Cubs rivalry.

Buck expressed his enthusiasm to return to where his big league broadcasting career began, stating that the Cardinals are a part of his DNA and that he looks forward to working with Caray, whom he considers a longtime friend. Meanwhile, Chip Caray shared his excitement about teaming up with Buck for the broadcast. He mentioned his admiration for Joe Buck’s father, Jack Buck, and highlighted the connection between their families as both broadcasters have followed in the footsteps of their legendary relatives: Jack Buck and Harry Caray. Both Jack and Harry had called Cardinals games together in the past, creating a rich history that Buck and Caray will now contribute to.
