Johnny Ferraro of FlorJon Films has signed on with Range Sports to revitalize the American Gladiators franchise. The company plans to bring the reality competition series back across multiple platforms, including TV, film, attractions, merchandise, and live events.
Co-presidents of Range Sports, Will Funk and Greg Luckman, are thrilled to work with Ferraro on expanding the brand’s reach in sports, culture, and entertainment. The original American Gladiators series ran from 1989 to 1996 and was revived by NBC in 2008 before being rebooted by the BBC earlier this year.
Range Media launched Range Sports in 2022 with a mission to create original sports programming, manage sports talent, properties, and intellectual property, and invest in sports content and distribution. With Ferraro’s help, they plan to introduce the brand to new audiences through a variety of exciting projects currently in development.
