The individual who was killed in the murder outside of Academy Sports + Outdoors on Independence Day has been identified as 22-year-old DeShaun Bonner. Bonner was rushed to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and unfortunately passed away from his injuries.
The Mobile Police Department is currently investigating the homicide but have not yet named any suspects at this time. The shooting occurred on Thursday afternoon in the Festival Centre, specifically outside of Academy Sports + Outdoors. According to reports, the incident happened in the 4 p.m. hour.
