Juventus is prepared to let go of Federico Chiesa this summer for a reasonable fee of €25m (£21.8m). The 26-year-old forward has entered the final year of his contract in Turin and is not part of new head coach Thiago Motta’s plans for the upcoming season. Despite scoring 10 goals in 37 appearances last season, Chiesa’s time at Juventus has been hampered by injury issues.
Chiesa, who was a standout player for Italy during Euro 2020, has attracted interest from Premier League clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool. However, due to his contract situation and injury history, Juventus is now willing to offload him for a relatively low fee. With 32 goals and 23 assists in 132 appearances for Juventus and seven goals in 51 caps for Italy, Chiesa has shown his talent on the field.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus’s asking price includes add-ons, and a sale is likely to happen this summer. Chiesa’s deal with the club is not expected to be extended, signaling the end of his time in Turin. With his future uncertain, it remains to be seen which club will secure the services of the talented forward.
