Cooperation on Innovative Technology Between Kazakhstan and China

The Kazakh-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee recently held its inaugural meeting on innovative cooperation. This took place in Astana, where the First Vice Minister of Kazakhstan, Kanysh Tuleushin, and China’s Deputy Minister, Chen Jiachang, discussed various aspects of collaboration between the two nations.

The discussions focused mainly on the development of 5G networks, aerospace industry, and e-commerce. Both countries expressed their commitment to expanding cooperation in joint scientific and innovative projects related to space research, microsatellites, remote sensing for monitoring agriculture and natural disasters, digitalization of agriculture, and seismic monitoring.

Furthermore, an agreement was reached to work together on training young talent in the field of innovation through initiatives like short-term internships and joint scientific projects. The co-chairs of the subcommittee emphasized the importance of exchanging information on the latest scientific and technological advancements in both China and Kazakhstan to foster a culture of innovation in the region.

Overall, this meeting paved the way for increased collaboration and knowledge-sharing between China and Kazakhstan in science, technology, and innovation.
