Latch Inc. has announced its plans to acquire HelloTech, Inc., a technology support company. The acquisition is part of Latch’s efforts to expand its smart lock system for multi-unit residences. Through Latch, users can access various areas without a physical key, relying instead on phone access or passcodes.
HelloTech provides technology installation and support through a network of over 2,500 agents nationwide. The company offers services such as setting up smartphones, improving smart home technology, enhancing connectivity, boosting WiFi networks, and installing TVs. By integrating HelloTech’s expertise, Latch will offer end-to-end solutions for residents to easily book service providers for their home electronics.
The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2024. HelloTech, founded in 2014 and based in Los Angeles, will join forces with Latch to provide comprehensive service solutions to residents across the country. Last year, Latch relocated its headquarters to Olivette, where it operates from a 48,000-square-foot facility at 1220 North Price Road.
