Country music legend Willie Nelson had to cancel several upcoming concert appearances due to a health issue, just days before he was set to perform in Massachusetts. The 91-year-old musician’s representatives announced that he would not be able to attend the first few dates of his Outlaw Music Festival tour, as advised by doctors to rest for four days.
Despite the setback, Nelson’s representative expressed confidence in his well-being and anticipated flying out to see his performances on the East Coast the following week. The statement released on Friday reassured fans that Nelson was expected to make a quick recovery and rejoin the tour the following week.
Nelson is scheduled to make a comeback in time for the June 26 show in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and is set to perform at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on July 2 as part of the Outlaw Music Festival. The lineup for the festival includes performances by music legends such as Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, and Celisse. Additional information about the festival can be found online.
