Manchester United and Juventus in Talks for Chiesa-Greenwood Swap Deal: Will the Partnership Happen?

Juventus midfielder Chiesa could be the key to unlocking Greenwood’s potential at Manchester United

According to the latest reports, Juventus may be interested in trading Federico Chiesa with Manchester United in exchange for Mason Greenwood. It is said that Chiesa, who is not part of Thiago Motta’s plans in Turin, has a contract that expires in June 2025 and could leave the club this summer.

While Napoli, Roma, and Bayern Munich have been linked to Chiesa, there are rumors that he could be proposed to Manchester United as part of a swap deal. This would allow Juventus to acquire Greenwood without having to pay the high asking price of €40-50m for the winger, who spent last season on loan at Getafe.

Both Chiesa and Greenwood have attracted interest from other clubs as well. Lazio is also reportedly pursuing Greenwood, with an offer of €20m plus up to €10m in bonuses. However, it’s possible that this offer may not be enough, resulting in a loan with an option to buy deal.

In addition to Greenwood, Juventus is also considering Jadon Sancho from Manchester United as a potential transfer target. The Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Sancho may only be available on loan, with part of his salary being covered by the Premier League club.
