Minnesota Craft Brewers Shine in International Beer Competition with Four Gold and Two Silver Medals

In the world of beer, Minnesota has emerged as a force to be reckoned with. At the World Beer Cup in Las Vegas, six brewers from our state were awarded medals for their exceptional beers. This prestigious competition is known as the “Olympics of beer” and attracts entries from thousands of breweries around the world.

The Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild expressed immense pride in the recipients, who showcased the high-quality beer produced by Minnesota brewers. Two breweries clinched bronze medals, two received silver medals, and two were awarded gold medals for their outstanding beers.

Among the winners from Minnesota were:

* GOLD: German-Style Altbier “Little Dussel Do-Ya,” Bent Paddle Brewing Co., Duluth

* GOLD: German-Style Doppelbock or Eisbock “Dopplebock,” Northbound Smokehouse & Brewpub, Minneapolis

* SILVER: Fruit Beer “Big Island Citrus Blonde Ale,” Excelsior Brewing Co., Excelsior

* SILVER: Dortmunder/Export of German-Style Oktoberfest “Dortmunder,” Lupulin Brewing, Big Lake

* BRONZE: German-Style Doppelbock or Eisbock “Doppel (doppel) Bock (bock),” BeerClub Brewing, Mora

* BRONZE: Mixed Culture Brett Beer “Idyll Forest – Soirée,” Pryes Brewing Co., Minneapolis

These awards highlight the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of Minnesota brewers in the global beer industry. The recipients should be proud of their accomplishments and continue to push themselves to create even more outstanding beers in the future.
