Moscow Meets with Yemeni Houthis to Discuss Escalation in Red Sea and Slam Condemns US, UK Strikes

In Moscow, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation meets with Yemeni Houthi delegation

In Moscow, Special Representative of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov met with a delegation of Yemeni Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement, led by its official representative Muhammad Abdel Salam. During their meeting, they discussed various issues including the “escalation of the situation in the Red Sea,” TASS reports, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The dynamics of the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone was also a topic of discussion. The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned ongoing strikes on Yemen by the United States and Great Britain in violation of the UN Charter.

It is worth noting that Moscow does not condemn the actions of Yemeni Houthi terrorists who attack civilian ships in the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea, as well as launch UAVs and cruise missiles towards Israel. A week ago, Bogdanov received a delegation from Hamas in Moscow. The Russian authorities do not recognize this organization as terrorist.
