NASCAR Cup Series Halts at Nashville Superspeedway Due to Lightning and Rain: Fans Look Forward to Resumption of Action

The NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway was halted by inclement weather on Lap 136 of the Ally 400. Lightning and rain forced the race to pause, leading to the fourth caution period of the day. The field stopped on pit road and Christopher Bell led the race ahead of Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski, and Chase Elliott.

Earlier in the race, John Hunter Nemechek spun out at Lap 116, causing the second caution of the day due to an on-track incident. Ten laps later, Ty Gibbs also spun, resulting in the third yellow flag of the event. The red flag was lifted around 6:40 p.m. ET with racing set to resume at the end of Lap 140.

The top 10 also included Denny Hamlin, Chris Buescher, William Byron, Martin Truex Jr., and Carson Hocevar. Fans can continue to follow the action on NBC, NBC Sports App, PRN Radio, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio as this story develops further.
