New Beginnings for Big Man James Wiseman with Indiana Pacers

Ex-Warrior James Wiseman Signs with Pacers

The 23-year-old James Wiseman has recently signed a two-year contract with the Indiana Pacers, according to reports. Despite his struggles as a big man for the Golden State Warriors, Wiseman is expected to start as the third-string player on the Pacers and will need to work hard to earn his spot on the team that reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season.

As the second overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Wiseman played only 84 games before being traded to the Detroit Pistons. Even though he got more playing time with the Pistons, Wiseman was unable to secure a long-term spot on the team and became a free agent this summer. However, with coach Rick Carlisle by his side, Wiseman may be able to reach his full potential with the Pacers.

Wiseman’s abilities as a lob threat make him an asset for any team looking for a reliable big man. With Indiana’s rotation already packed with talent, it remains uncertain where Wiseman will fit in. But if he can prove himself on the court, he may be able to secure a spot in Indiana’s rotation and turn things around for his career.
