New Blood: Warriors Coach Steve Kerr Brings in Veteran Coach Terry Stotts and Ex-NBA All-Star Jerry Stackhouse to Boost Coaching Staff

Warriors’ Head Coach Steve Kerr makes changes to coaching staff by adding two new members

Warriors coach Steve Kerr recently filled two openings on his coaching staff with the additions of veteran coach Terry Stotts and former NBA All-Star player Jerry Stackhouse. The Dubs Talk Podcast is a great place to follow for updates and insights on the team’s coaching staff changes.

Both Stotts and Stackhouse are expected to join Kerr on the front bench, along with Kris Weems who remains on staff. Weems was promoted to the front bench last summer after Jama Mahlalela left for a job with the Toronto Raptors. The sudden passing of assistant Dejan “Deki” Milojević in February created a spot on the staff that was filled by Stackhouse.

Stackhouse’s strong presence is expected to make a significant impact on the Warriors’ coaching staff next season, along with Stotts’ 13 years of head-coaching experience. Stotts returned to coaching last summer as an assistant with the Milwaukee Bucks after two seasons away from the NBA. With their addition, Kerr decided to move longtime assistant Bruce “Q” Fraser back to the second bench after three seasons on the front bench.

Kerr originally did not plan on making significant changes to his staff, but with the departure of Kenny Atkinson, he decided to bring in coaches with previous head-coaching experience. The Dubs Talk Podcast provides insight into these changes and how they will impact
