New CMCC Program in Collaboration with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works Launches Manufacturing Technology Training.

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works partners with CMCC for innovative manufacturing technology

Central Maine Community College (CMCC) has announced a new collaboration with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works to launch a Manufacturing Technology short-term training program. This program will equip students with essential skills and hands-on experience, preparing them for successful careers in the manufacturing industry.

The 3-week program will require students to attend 40 hours per week, totaling 120 hours of training. Participants will receive a $500 attendance incentive each week, and the entire program will be free of cost. No prior experience is required to enroll.

The curriculum will cover a range of topics, including technical math, hand & power tool operation & safety, oxy cutting, track welding, basic layout, material handling, drilling & fastening, and other crucial manufacturing skills. Upon completion of the program, students will have the opportunity to interview with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works for potential job opportunities.
