The Titans have welcomed a new coaching staff, including defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, this offseason. Safety Amani Hooker has been with the team for a long time, but he’s still adapting to the new defensive scheme along with his less experienced teammates. Despite this, Hooker has noticed a key difference from the team’s past approach – it’s a lot more aggressive now. He mentioned that the coaches are doing a good job teaching when to be aggressive and when not to be.
This aggressiveness is reflected in the Titans’ defense this offseason, as they made some additions to their secondary. L’Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie bring significant experience to the position, and their addition is expected to contribute to the team’s aggressive playing style. The hope is that this aggressiveness will lead to more turnovers and better field position, ultimately setting the stage for improved offensive results as well. With Wilson leading the way on defense, the Titans are poised for success in 2021.
