New Jersey Fire Chief Arrested for Damaging Rare Sports Car in Alleged Fit of Road Rage

A New Jersey fire chief in Piscataway has been arrested for allegedly damaging a man’s rare sports car by dumping a bucket of rocks, mud, and gravel on it. Surveillance video captured the incident, which occurred when the car was parked next to the firehouse where the fire chief, Joshua Scolnick, works. The car’s owner, Mark Bahna, claims that Scolnick was upset about rainwater from his sump pump seeping onto the firehouse property next door.

Bahna stated that his car was parked on his property between his building and the volunteer firehouse. His attorney, Mark Speed, mentioned that they are exploring all legal options and have reached out in writing to the parties involved, awaiting a response. Bahna, who collects and sells Japanese sports cars, emphasized that his damaged car is priceless and may be one of only two ’95 Nismo 270R’s in the U.S. He explained that Nissan only produced 30 of these cars in 1995, and his car is number five, representing his lifelong passion for collecting rare vehicles.

Despite attempts to contact Scolnick at the firehouse and reaching out to Piscataway Fire District No. 3
