AMC Theatres has appointed Stephanie Tierney and Kevin Arnold to key leadership roles in its new movie distribution business. Tierney, a veteran of Fandango, has been named vice president, distribution, and will collaborate with the music industry to create new projects and marketing campaigns that enhance fan engagement.
Meanwhile, Kevin Arnold has been promoted to vice president of programming promotions & partnerships for AMC’s distribution venture. The goal for both executives is to bring more top music artists to the big screen through AMC Theatres Distribution. This move was inspired by the success of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé’s films that were distributed by AMC Theatres.
Last year, AMC Theatres surprised Hollywood by becoming the distributor for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which grossed $261.6 million globally. Following this success, Beyoncé also released her own film that grossed $43.9 million domestically. This move represented a shift from the traditional Hollywood studio system.
During her time at Fandango, Tierney led the integrated marketing team and worked closely with various partners to drive consumer awareness and ticket sales.
