Jets sign offensive lineman Kohl Levao and release offensive lineman Vitaliy Gurman

On Wednesday, the Jets made a roster move by signing offensive lineman Kohl Levao. The team announced this news. In response to this move, they waived offensive lineman Vitaliy Gurman. Most recently, Levao played for the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL, where he was named to the all-UFL team. During the spring of 2023, he played both guard spots after previously playing center and guard for the University of Hawaii. He had a successful season in 2021, allowing only one sack and earning an All-Mountain West honorable mention. He also boasted a pass protection success rate of 97 percent and has experience playing at multiple positions along the offensive line.

Meanwhile, Gurman was originally signed by the Jets’ practice squad during the final week of the 2023 regular season. He began his career as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo and was initially with the Raiders in 2023 before being cut and signed to Las Vegas’ practice squad. Gurman then spent most of 2023 on the Cardinals’ practice squad before eventually joining the Jets.
