Nottingham Forest Mourns Loss of FA Cup Winning Legend Jeff Whitefoot at 90

Jeff Whitefoot, a former Nottingham Forest player, has passed away at the age of 90. The club confirmed the news and expressed deep sadness at his passing. Whitefoot played over 250 games for the Reds from 1958 to 1967 and was the last surviving member of the team that won the FA Cup in 1959.

Whitefoot began his career at Manchester United, where he became the youngest player to start in a league match for the club at just 16 years and 105 days old. He spent eight years with the ‘Busby Babes’ at Old Trafford before moving to Grimsby Town. Less than a year later, he joined Nottingham Forest where he played under the management of Billy Walker, Andy Beattie, and Johnny Carey.

Whitefoot’s greatest achievement with Forest came in his first season with the team when they won the FA Cup for the second time by defeating Luton Town at Wembley. This moment secured his place in Forest history as one of their most celebrated players.
