Nurturing Minds: Feeding Minds Press Launches New Children’s Book on the Wonders of Soil

Feeding Minds Press has launched a new children’s book called “The Soil in Jackie’s Garden” that will capture the attention of young readers, garden enthusiasts, and science educators alike. This picture book follows Jackie and her garden friends as they explore the wonders of soil and the process of plant growth.

Written by acclaimed author Peggy Thomas and illustrated by talented artist Neely Daggett, “The Soil in Jackie’s Garden” is packed with scientific facts about soil, plants, pollinators, decomposers, and more. Readers aged six and up will learn about environmental stewardship, gardening care, plant life cycles, the importance of pollinators, and composting.

With educational materials on the soil cycle and composting included in the book, readers can deepen their understanding of agriculture and science. The Foundation for Agriculture will also be releasing more resources, including an educator’s guide, to help students explore the ways in which food is grown.
