Nashville has long been an important player in the health-care landscape due to its thriving ecosystem of health systems, startups, and investment firms. The city’s reputation as a health-care hub was solidified when HCA Healthcare was established there in 1968, attracting a large pool of health-care professionals and organizations to Nashville.
In recent years, Oracle has been constructing its $1.2 billion campus in Nashville for about three years. During his fireside chat at the summit, Ellison stressed his company’s commitment to the city and highlighted how their employees enjoy being there and view it as their future centerpiece. However, Oracle did not respond immediately to CNBC’s request for comment on this matter.
