According to betting odds, it’s predicted that Broncos coach Sean Payton will select Nix as his quarterback of the future. The Broncos are considered the favorites at -120 to draft Nix, with the Raiders and Giants following closely behind at +700.
The big question surrounding Nix is how high he will go in the draft. The Broncos have the 12th overall pick, which could be a prime spot to grab him. However, the Vikings draft one spot ahead at 11th and are also in the market for a quarterback. Other teams may be looking to move into the Top 10 to secure Nix if they believe he is their guy and needs to be taken before the Broncos or Vikings have the chance.
Despite being projected as a Top 15-20 pick by betting odds, the NFL does not see Nix in that same light.
