A report emerged that Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed missed the T20 World Cup 2024 match against India due to oversleeping. Taskin was not able to be reached by the team management because he was asleep in his room and thus missed the bus before the game. The coach clarified that if there were any issues between him and Taskin, it did not affect Taskin’s participation in the next game against Afghanistan.
