Punky Pets Pawlor in Las Vegas, Nevada is offering free grooming services for matted dogs owned by homeless individuals during the hot summer months. The manager, Brandy Glasgow, explains that the extreme heat in Southern Nevada can put pets at risk for heat stroke, especially if they have matted fur that prevents proper air circulation.
Glasgow emphasizes the importance of grooming for the well-being of these pets and highlights the partnership with organizations like the Animal Foundation and Street Dogz to assist homeless individuals with pet care. Through programs like KEPPT, homeless individuals with low incomes can receive vouchers for grooming services if they are unable to afford it themselves.
Street Dogz offers additional support by providing pet food, supplies, boarding, and medical care for animals in need. Punky Pets Pawlor holds free grooming events on the first Saturday of every month at the Care Complex in Las Vegas.
To support their mission of providing grooming services to those who cannot afford it, people can donate to Punky Pets Pawlor. This initiative aims to ensure that all pets, regardless of their owners’ circumstances, receive the care they need to stay healthy and safe during the hot summer months in Las Vegas.
