Philadelphia Radio Host Howard Eskin Suspended from Phillies Home Games for ‘Unwelcome Kiss’ Allegations

Howard Eskin, Phillies radio host, suspended following incident of ‘unwelcome kiss’

Philadelphia sports radio host Howard Eskin has been suspended from Phillies home games for the rest of the season due to an incident where he kissed a worker for Citizens Bank Park’s food service provider without consent. Audacy, the parent company of Philadelphia’s SportsRadio 94WIP, conducted an investigation into the “unwelcome kiss” and took action following the findings.

Following their own investigation, Aramark, the food service provider for Citizens Bank Park, corroborated the allegations against Eskin and worked with Audacy and the Phillies to ensure appropriate steps were taken to protect their employee and all Aramark employees at Citizens Bank Park. Eskin, who is a prominent figure in the Philadelphia sports media landscape, has been a mainstay on SportsRadio 94WIP since helping launch the station’s first sports talk show in 1986.

The Phillies also issued a statement expressing their seriousness about the allegations and their support for Audacy’s decision to suspend Eskin from the park for the remainder of the season. The parent company of Philadelphia’s SportsRadio 94WIP cooperated with investigations and released statements in support of Eskin’s suspension.

Audacy and Eskin have not yet responded to messages from The Associated Press regarding the suspension. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting boundaries and consent in all interactions, especially in the workplace.
