Pioneer Valley High School Business Tech Students Explore the Future of Science and Technology through a Field Trip to California Science Center

A group of thirty students from Pioneer Valley High School’s Business Technology Department embarked on a field trip to the California Science Center in Los Angeles on April 11. During their visit, the students explored various sections of the museum, including Air and Space Travel, Life and Biology, and Ecosystems. The exhibits focused on how things work and the impact of technology on the world through human inventions and innovations.

The interactive exhibits engaged the students, providing them with a hands-on experience to better understand how the world functions. These exhibits also sparked thoughts about their future educational and career goals. The students also enjoyed a 3-D IMAX movie titled “Cities of the Future,” which showcased how science and technology are shaping urban living around the globe.

The feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing appreciation for the variety of exhibits and activities available at the museum. Modesto Lopez was particularly impressed by the aircrafts hanging from the roof and expressed interest in returning in the future. Andrea Cruz Marin found it fascinating to touch the starfish in the fish tank. Alexander Valentin mentioned that he enjoyed both the IMAX experience and overall visit to Los Angeles. Derek Ferate appreciated interacting with different peers during his visit and experiencing attractions such as IMAX movie.

Abel Rodriguez summed up his experience by giving it a perfect rating of “10 out of 10,” indicating that it was a highly positive and memorable trip for all involved.
