Pliskova Remains Unbeaten in Nottingham, Secures Spot in Final Against Raducanu or Boulter

Pliskova’s Strong Comeback Secures Spot in Nottingham Open Final

Karolina Pliskova has remained undefeated at the Nottingham Open, securing a spot in the final with a hard-fought victory against Diane Parry from France. Despite losing the first set in a tie-break, Pliskova showed determination and resilience to bounce back and claim a 6-7 (9-11) 6-1 6-4 win.

Pliskova, seeded sixth and 32 years old, will now await the winner between Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter for the final match. The tournament schedule has been affected by weather delays, forcing matches to be postponed and rescheduled. However, Pliskova remained focused on preparation and recovery for the upcoming match.

The semi-final match between Raducanu and Boulter was interrupted by rain, with only one set completed before play was halted. The players will resume their match on Sunday before the winner faces Pliskova in the final. The Czech player, who defeated top seed Ons Jabeur in the quarter-finals, is aiming to secure her second Nottingham Open title after her previous win in 2016.
