Pro MX Rider Nate Thrasher Overcomes Injury to Finish 11th in Round 2

Nate Thrasher recently underwent surgery to repair a broken collarbone and a bent corrective plate after a practice crash before Round 2 of the Pro Motocross series in Rancho Cordova, California. Although he was injured, Thrasher managed to finish 11th overall with results of 10th in Moto 1 and 14th in Moto 2.

Thrasher shared the news on Instagram, expressing his disappointment but also his determination to recover quickly and return to the races soon. This is not the first time Thrasher has broken his collarbone, as he also sustained a similar injury in April 2023 during a Monster Energy Supercross race in Atlanta. Both Thrasher and Ryder DiFrancesco, who also suffered an injury, expect to be back in action in six weeks at the Seattle round when the 250 East division returns.

Thrasher had another crash earlier this spring during Supercross Round 6 at Glendale but did not miss any additional races as a result. Currently sitting 10th in the SuperMotocross World Championship standings, Thrasher earned a win this season in muddy conditions at San Diego. This victory ensures him a spot in at least the Last Chance Qualification races in the upcoming playoffs if he falls out of the top 30.

Despite his setbacks, Thrasher remains determined to return to competition and continue to chase success in the Pro Motocross series. With a positive mindset and a strong support system, he is focused on making a quick recovery and getting back on track as soon as possible.
