Paris Saint-Germain is making a push to secure Feyenoord defender Lutsharel Geertruida before Premier League clubs can swoop in. The Ligue 1 champions have identified Geertruida as one of their top targets to strengthen their defense this summer, along with Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen and Leny Yoro from Lille.
Despite interest from English clubs, including Liverpool, where he previously worked under Arne Slot at Feyenoord, Geertruida has been linked with a move to PSG. He fuelled speculation of a move to Anfield by attending Liverpool’s match against West Ham in April. However, other English clubs are also eyeing the 23-year-old due to his impressive performances in the Eredivisie. Last season, he scored eight goals and provided five assists in 34 appearances, mainly playing as a right-back.
PSG has not made a formal offer to Feyenoord yet, but reports suggest that they are working on reaching an agreement with Geertruida on personal terms.
