The winners of these regionals will then move on to super regionals from June 7-9 and June 8-10, where they will determine who will be among the elite eight schools heading to Omaha for the College World Series.
The NCAA Division I baseball tournament is known for its surprises and upsets, as well as its intense competition. In 2023, LSU emerged victorious in the College World Series final by defeating Florida 18-4. Pitcher Paul Skenes was named the tournament’s most outstanding player, and outfielder Dylan Crews made history by reaching base in all 71 of LSU’s games that season. Both players were later selected first and second overall in the MLB draft, marking a significant milestone for their respective programs.
