Racine students recognized for their participation in Fresh Air Science Fair
Fifth graders at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine were recently honored for their involvement in an almost two-month-long Fresh Air Science Fair. The event, which took place from February 1st to March 27th, saw students form teams to work on projects related to clean air pollution concepts. Entries were judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and the creativity of their presentation.
The award ceremony took place on March 27th, where winners were announced and prizes were awarded. Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers, made a special appearance at the event. The first-place team members each received three tickets to the April 10 Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, transportation to and from the game, and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place teams were awarded Bucks merchandise.
The Fresh Air Science Fair is a collaborative effort between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s fair for their hard work and creative projects!
