Rallying to Restore: How the Lakeshore Community is Helping Dreams Come True Learning Center After Devastating Storm

Jacksonville day care receives support from community after storm damage

The Dreams Come True Learning Center in Lakeshore suffered significant damage after a powerful storm earlier this month. Owner Brendreka Leach expressed her frustration as the impact of a limb hitting the building caused damage to the window, roof, ramp, and entrance. According to Leach, lightning struck a tree near the building, causing the limb to hit the roof and a branch to go through the window.

The damage has had a negative impact on Leach’s business, as she has suffered a significant financial loss. She explained that she can’t use the storm damage as an excuse for not being able to pay her bills to utility companies. In response to Leach’s plea for help, members of the community have come together to assist with cleaning up debris and making minor repairs to the building.

Leach expressed her gratitude for the support, emphasizing that her business is her heart and she just wants to get it back up and running smoothly. The community’s efforts to help Leach and the Dreams Come True Learning Center show the power of coming together in times of need to support local businesses and individuals in need.
