In Manchester, New Hampshire, the Portland Sea Dogs secured their fifth consecutive win with a 7-3 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Nick Decker hit an inside-the-park home run in the sixth inning, while Roman Anthony also added a home run in the same inning to give Portland a commanding 4-0 lead. Despite New Hampshire scoring once in the sixth and twice in the seventh to narrow the gap, the Sea Dogs pulled away with three runs in the ninth inning. Elih Marrero came through with a two-run single and Decker drove in a pair of runs to secure the victory.
On the pitching side, Felix Cepeda delivered an impressive performance by allowing just one hit while striking out three in 2 1/3 scoreless innings. Christopher Troye earned the win by allowing one run on three hits, striking out five, and walking two in three innings. Wikelman Gonzalez also had a strong showing by allowing no hits while striking out three batters in three scoreless innings for Portland.
