Sarah Becker, a reality TV star who appeared on MTV’s The Real World Season 5, has passed away at the age of 52. She was best known for her bubbly personality and infectious positive energy. Friends and family have taken to social media to remember her after learning of her death.
Daniel Norton, one of Becker’s close friends, shared fond memories of their adventures together on Facebook. He remembered her as “made of pure sunshine” and expressed condolences to her family and friends. Another friend posted photos with her on Facebook, remembering her as one of the nicest people he had ever known.
Becker had been struggling with mental health issues in recent months and had recently moved back home to Illinois to take care of family. TMZ reported that she had also been involved in a skateboarding accident. In her last Facebook post, dated June 14, Becker requested recommendations for a dentist. On The Real World: Miami, she described herself as a “19-year-old trapped in a 25-year-old body.” Her co-stars on the show included Dan Renzi, Melissa Padrón, Joe Patane, Cynthia Roberts, Flora Alekseyeun, and Mike Lambert.
