Today marks the 15th anniversary of Steve McNair’s murder

The NFL community is still mourning the loss of Steve McNair, who passed away 15 years ago at the young age of 36. While the official report stated that McNair had been killed by his girlfriend, Jenny Kazemi, many believed there was more to the story.

McNair, who was selected third overall in the 1995 draft from Alcorn State, had a successful 13-year career in the NFL. He played the majority of his career with the Oilers and Titans before finishing up with the Ravens in 2006 and 2007. Notable achievements include leading the Titans to a Super Bowl appearance in XXXIV and sharing the MVP award with Peyton Manning in 2003.

With over 31,000 career passing yards and 161 regular-season games, McNair left a lasting legacy in the NFL. He is remembered as a talented and respected player, earning a spot in the Titans Ring of Honor and having his jersey number, 9, retired by the team.
