Revolutionizing Directional Drilling: Enteq Technologies’ Successful Field Trials with the SABER Tool in Australia

Enteq Technologies commences a multi-well testing campaign in Australia

Australian energy services engineering and technology company, Enteq Technologies, is currently conducting an extensive multi-well testing program in the country after securing a long-term contractual relationship. The SABER Tool and team arrived in Australia late March, and testing began in April.

Neil Bird, VP Advanced Drilling Systems at Enteq, expressed excitement about the SABER Tool’s development over the past five years. He highlighted the importance of field trials in creating a tool that is not just good but great.

The CEO of Enteq, Andrew Law, mentioned the successful field trials and the progress made with the SABER Tool. He emphasized its potential to revolutionize the directional drilling market. The tool’s unique internally directed fluid pressure differential system for steering offers improved reliability and can drive operational efficiency at a lower initial cost in various areas such as hydrocarbon production, geothermal energy, methane capture, and carbon capture and storage.

Law also mentioned positive conversations they are having with industry leaders who are starting to recognize the long-term benefits that SABER can bring. The company’s commitment to ensuring the tool is the best it can be is key to its success. Additionally, Law highlighted how transportable SABER was as it fit within the luggage allowance for their flight to Australia, showcasing its effectiveness for remote applications.

Overall, Enteq Technologies’ multi-well testing program represents an exciting opportunity for them to further develop and refine their cutting-edge technology while expanding their presence in Australia’s energy sector.
