Risant Health Acquires Cone Health: Uniting to Expand Access to Value-Based Care in North Carolina

Risant Health, a nonprofit, charitable organization created by Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, has announced the acquisition of Cone Health, a large healthcare network in the Piedmont Triad. The deal is pending regulatory approvals and Cone Health has signed a “definitive agreement” with Risant Health to become a part of it.

Cone Health is a healthcare network that employs over 13,000 people and serves more than 200,000 patients in the Piedmont Triad. Despite the acquisition, Cone Health’s branding will remain the same and its leadership team will continue to operate independently.
