Deputy Fire Chief Keith Lohse mentioned that the fire occurred during the demolition process, even though there were no utilities connected to the building at the time.

The original Buc-ee’s location opened in 2003 and marked the start of brand’s growth to 49 locations across nine states. Texas boasts 35 Buc-ee’s locations, making it home to more than half of all Buc-ee’s stores in North America.
